Training Clients with Diabetes Mellitus
Description
People with diabetes are encouraged to exercise regularly for better blood sugar control and to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. As fitness professionals, we may find ourselves feeling unequipped to implement training guidelines and recommendations that have been established globally to clients who are diabetic.
This course aims to guide fitness professionals in helping their clients with diabetes whom have been given medical clearance for exercise. By providing a thorough understanding of the different types of diabetes, the benefits and risks of exercising, as well as assessments that may be performed, fitness professionals can now aid in the design of a safe and effective exercise programme.
