Training Clients with Hypertension
Description
Hypertension is a growing problem in today’s society and is commonly addressed through lifestyle modifications such as increasing physical activity, nutrition intervention, and consuming medication. However, personal trainers need to have an in depth understanding of the condition itself, as well as be in the know as to how medication taken by hypertensive clients may affect exercise appropriateness. This will affect every decision made; from exercise selection, intensity, duration, body position, warm up and cool down – in ensuring safety during workout sessions.
This course aims to guide you through designing safe and effective workouts and programmes for hypertensive clients whom have been given medical clearance for exercise.
